About The Galleon
Located in the heart of Edinburgh, The Galleon is the state-of-the-art sports and leisure centre at George Watson’s College and is home to our Sunday morning classes.
George Watson’s College has a long tradition of sporting success and participation across all levels. The school was recently shortlisted for “Sporting Achievement” at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2025, recognising its exceptional sports culture and results.
Beyond competition, the school promotes an inclusive “sport for all” ethos and supports community sport development through partnerships such as Sporting Start, helping fund opportunities for young athletes in Edinburgh and beyond.
About Dreghorn Loan Hall
Set in the heart of Colinton, Dreghorn Loan Hall is our home for Wednesday evening classes from 22 July: a welcoming community venue just off the village's main street.
The hall has long been a hub for local life for community groups and is connected to a nursery school during the day.
It's a space families already know and trust. That familiarity is exactly why we chose it. For children stepping onto the mats for the first time, a calm, friendly, local environment makes all the difference.
Alongside our Sunday sessions at The Galleon, Dreghorn Loan Hall lets us bring Method BJJ into the heart of the Colinton community, making great coaching accessible to Edinburgh’s young people.
